Stop Alcoa’s Forest Destruction!

Join this urgent submission writing workshop to get the facts and write a powerful submission to the EPA on the night.

Alcoa wants to clear nearly 11,500 hectares of Northern Jarrah Forest (NJF) for expanded bauxite mining – threatening wildlife, water, and ecosystems that are already under extreme pressure.

Right now, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) is assessing the proposal and accepting public submissions, but we don't have much time.

EPA submissions close on 21 August.

The proposed clearing includes high conservation value forest, vital black cockatoo habitat, and public drinking water catchments. Alcoa’s expansion would lock in another two decades of destruction, pollution, and groundwater drawdown in one of the most important forest systems in WA.

This is our best chance in a generation to stop it.

Join Greens MP Jess Beckerling for a submission writing workshop where you’ll get a clear briefing on what Alcoa is proposing, what's at risk, and how to make your voice count.

Whether you’re new to the issue or deeply involved, this is a powerful way to take action. Submissions are due soon – and the EPA needs to hear loud and clear that Western Australians won’t accept any more destruction.
