Reconnect with Nature and Community on this relaxing social trek with a fun twist.

The Curtin and Moore/Cowan Greens are delighted to co-host this social event.

Star Swamp is a beautiful and diverse bush reserve in North Beach/Watermans Bay. Home to a huge variety of native plants, birds, and even a few quenda!

We will be taking a casual walk around the reserve as a group. There will be plenty of time to chat and enjoy our surroundings.

You are welcome to just come for the walk and the company. But, if you are up for something a bit different, we will be Geocaching along the way. Geocaching is a worldwide GPS powered treasure hunt game. Star Swamp is perfect for beginners. The caches are well made and maintained and they all comply with the City of Stirling's guidlines for minimising damage to the reserve, making them much easier to find. If it's something you might want to try more than once, you could set up an account on geocaching.com beforehand so you can have your own map and log the finds as we go.

All of the paths are crushed limestone or better, so the walk will be wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, bring some water.

We will be meeting at: S31° 51.511' E115° 45.602' The north end of the car park for Henderson Environmental Centre on Groat Street at 1PM. The walk should take around 2 hours, depending on our speed.
