Join the Greens at they speak to the people of North Perth about the need for affordable housing
Labor has proposed a housing Bill that will make the housing crisis worse, cut funding to housing every year, does nothing for renters, and will see the shortage of social and affordable housing grow. The Greens are pushing for a national freeze on rent increases and $5 billion invested in social and affordable housing every year to fund the construction of hundreds of thousands of homes. But time is running out to pressure the government to come to the table.
We only have a few weeks until Labor will bring the bill to a vote in the Senate. In this time, we have an important opportunity to ramp up the pressure on the government and show them that we need a housing bill that will actually start to tackle the problem.
We know that the Greens power in parliament is only as strong as our power in the community. We know that when we break outside our bubble and reach people where they’re at, we win. That’s why we’re setting an ambitious goal to have thousands of conversations about housing, and we’d love you to be part of it.
Will you join us to speak to ordinary people about the fight to address the housing crisis, and bring pressure to bear on Labor for real action on the housing crisis?
