“Pride and Joy”: Poetry Open Mic Fundraiser for Pride Working Group

Join Pride Working Group in celebrating Pride through poetry and contribute to fundraising for the Greens at Pride Parade and Pride Fair Day. 

The theme is “Pride and Joy”, with two-minute open mic slots for poets. If you’d like an open mic slot, please email pride@wa.greens.org.au. There will be some open-mic spots on the door. If you have a poem about pride and joy, as a LGBTQIA+ person or an ally, we’d love to hear it.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, with accessible, gender-neutral toilets available.

If you’re interested in sharing a poem, please consider being mindful of topics that may be heavy or challenging for listeners, and be aware that this event is not age-restricted. As an attendee be mindful that there will potentially be adult themes to the poetry.

There will also be a raffle, with non-alcoholic refreshments available for purchase.
