Come be a part of our biggest state election campaign ever!
2020 led to a number of unexpected events and challenges for our communities in Southern River and Jandakot, many that none of us expected to deal with, or be prepared for. In the lead up to the March state election, it is crucial that we connect with our community now more than ever to make sure that no one is left behind in our responses to the COVID-19 induced economic emergency, and the climate emergency.
Doorknocking is how we can have meaningful conversations with the community about how we can best represent their needs in the next parliament, whether it comes to action on climate, unemployment or underemployment, and creating caring communities.
Will you come and build this movement with us?
If you're a seasoned doorknocker, or completely new to the concept, we would love to have you join us! All training and support will be provided on the day, and you'll get a chance to speak to Simone and Heather, the candidates for the two electorates.
We recommend wearing your Greens shirt (we can supply one if needed - please let us know what size you need beforehand), or green clothing if you don't have one and comfy shoes for walking in. We also recommend bringing a water bottle and sunscreen.
Our meeting point is outside of Jamaica Blue café, on the Nicholson Rd side of Livingston Marketplace. This is accessible by public transport, including via bus routes 205, 206, 207 and 518.
Let's talk to as many people as we can! Click 'Register now!' to be a part of it.
