Join Senator David Shoebridge and Greens NSW MP Abigail Boyd for a conversation about how we can stop AI data centres

The Greens have a plan to stop AI data centres and protect our energy, water, lands and communities, with an immediate AI data centre moratorium in NSW.

Join Senator David Shoebridge, Leader of the Australian Greens, and Greens NSW MP Abigail Boyd, Chair of the NSW Data Centre Inquiry, for a conversation about how we can stop AI data centres and put communities and our planet before big tech profits.

The AI-fuelled data centre frenzy is threatening our climate, our communities and our quality of life. Did you know AI demand is responsible for more than 90% of new data centre developments, and they’re responsible for 100% of the massive data centres you see on the news? Meanwhile, the major parties are rolling out the red carpet for the tech companies behind the global AI race, handing over our lands, water and energy for more and more hyperscale data centres across NSW.

Communities are organising and building power to fight this and the Greens are right there with you. Together we have already slowed and stopped mega data centre developments, launched nation-leading parliamentary inquiries and forced governments to answer to communities.

Join us on Tuesday 1 December 2026 at 6pm to unpack what the AI data centre boom actually means for us, and how we can work together to put a stop to this disastrous, extractive industry in its tracks.
