What would it take for Australia to step away from AUKUS and become a genuine force for peace in our region and around the world?
Join Greens Senator David Shoebridge, Remah Naji, organiser and spokesperson for Justice for Palestine (Magan-djin), and Karina Lester, Yankunytjatjara woman and AUKUS Public Inquiry Commissioner, for an important conversation about AUKUS, militarisation and Australia’s role in building a more peaceful future.
Together, we’ll discuss the consequences of Australia’s growing military alignment with the United States, the connections between AUKUS and broader struggles for peace and justice including in Palestine, and what we can do to build the public pressure needed to change course.
The event will be hosted online via Zoom. If you have any accessibility requirements or need support to participate, please contact the event organiser as early as possible so we can make suitable arrangements.
This event is being hosted by Senator David Shoebridge’s office, with the support of the Albury Greens, Ballarat Greens and North Queensland Greens.
Please register ASAP and we will send you the Zoom link
