Jewish Greens Shabbat Potluck

In Jewish tradition, Friday night marks the beginning of Shabbat, a period to rest, to be present and come together with family and community.

The Jewish Greens invite you to share Shabbat with us on Friday July 17. Together we will light candles, drink wine, break bread and share a potluck meal.

The event will be MC’d by Campbell Gome and Alex Breskin, Jewish Greens members and Greens candidates in the 2026 Victorian state election.

We will hear from several special guests:

Senator Mehreen Faruqi,

Sarah Schwartz, Executive Director, Jewish Council of Australia,

Damian Walsh, PANZMA (Palestine Australian New Zealand Medical Association).

50% of funds raised will be donated to the Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association (PANZMA), and the remaining 50% to the Jewish Greens.

Challah, dips and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, but we ask that attendees please bring a vegetarian meal to share. Alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase at the venue.
