Organise to Win: Strategy, Skills and Leadership

Almost 12 months out from the state election, we need to organise to hold and win new seats in the upper and lower house all across Victoria.

MPs, local councillors, campaign leaders and anyone interested in getting involved will come together to build our movement and implement strategic campaigns . We'll be honing our organising skills, building the relationships and the tools to collaborate.

This event is for Greens members and supporters across Victoria.

9am: Rock up, register, grab a coffee and say hi to everyone.

9:30am:  Welcome to Country with Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Elder

9:50am: Ellen Sandell (State Leader) kicks us off with the Vic2026 context 

10:20am: Jess Wheelock (Head of Campaigns) talks through the state election strategy

11:30AM After a morning tea break, join our upper house MPs (Sarah Mansfield, Aiv Puglielli and Kat Copsey) alongside our candidates in each region to workshop our local strategy - and fire up our energy to win and retain seats!

1:20PM After lunch, Samantha Ratnam (former State Leader and 2025 Wills candidate) shares insights into building a great campaign culture we all want to be a part of.

1:40PM Workshops on winning and building in your lower house seat: we'll break into three streams based on the aims of our campaigns - growing, building or winning our seat! 

2:50PM Skills trainings, workshops and panel discussions including: 

• Managing budgets and finance, 

• Running good meetings and making good decisions, 

• Digital campaigning, 

• The role of the Greens in our political landscape

3:35PM More skills trainings, workshops and panel discussions

• Membership and organising 

• Building a powerful and diverse movement

• Campaign materials

• Local Government in issue based campaigning
